The Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) set up camp on the A38 in Kempsey this morning (Wednesday), ready to catch speedsters breaking the 30mph limit. Armed with speed guns and an air of authority, they were fully prepared to dish out some stern words (and maybe a few tickets).
The location on Main Road was carefully selected after consulting with local residents, who apparently had concerns about lead-footed drivers zooming through their village.
A spokesperson for Malvern SNT said: “This location was chosen following consultation with the local community and council, which highlighted areas of concern for us to target.”
But in a shocking twist of events—every single driver stuck to the speed limit. Not one daredevil, not one rogue racer. Just a lineup of law-abiding motorists.
“On this occasion, everyone was travelling within the speed limit, which is a positive,” the spokesperson admitted, possibly a little surprised.
Of course, they left motorists with a final, slightly ominous warning: “We could be anywhere next, so please be mindful, be aware of the speed limits, and ensure you stick to them.”
Translation? The Malvern SNT is watching. And next time, they might just catch someone in the act. 🚔😏
