A Year in Review: Kempsey Colts Football Club

As the year draws to a close, it’s a good moment to reflect on another busy and positive year for Kempsey Colts – a club that continues to play a vital role in grassroots football and community life in Kempsey.

Growing Players, On and Off the Pitch

Throughout the year, Kempsey Colts teams across multiple age groups have taken part in league fixtures, tournaments, and training sessions – not just developing footballing skills, but confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. For many young players, this year marked first matches, first goals, and first experiences of playing as part of a team.

Commitment from Coaches and Volunteers

Behind every training session and matchday is a huge amount of unpaid time and dedication. Coaches, team managers, helpers, and committee members have once again given countless hours to keep things running smoothly – from organising fixtures and training to maintaining equipment and supporting players week in, week out.

Grassroots football simply wouldn’t exist without this level of commitment, and Kempsey Colts continues to benefit from a strong volunteer spirit.

Match-days, Training & Community

Matchdays have remained a familiar sight around the village, with families turning up in all weathers to support the teams. Training sessions have been well attended, reflecting both the enthusiasm of the players and the club’s focus on creating a positive, inclusive environment.

The club has also remained firmly rooted in the local community, giving young people a structured, healthy activity and a strong sense of belonging.

Looking Ahead

As the club looks towards the new year, the focus remains on:

  • Continuing player development at all age levels
  • Supporting and recruiting volunteers and coaches
  • Maintaining a welcoming, inclusive club culture
  • Giving young players the chance to enjoy football – whatever their ability or ambition

With strong foundations in place, Kempsey Colts is well positioned for another successful year ahead.

Thank You

A big thank you goes to everyone involved – players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and supporters – for helping make this year a positive one for Kempsey Colts Football Club.

Here’s to more matches, more memories, and more muddy boots in the year ahead.
