Another Year Wrapped Up (No Sellotape Required)

As the fairy lights go up, the mince pies mysteriously vanish, and everyone collectively agrees they’ll “start fresh in January”, it feels like the right moment to pause and look back on another year in Kempsey.

First things first – thank you.
To everyone who’s read an article, shared a post, tipped us off with a “you might want to look at this”, or simply popped by for a quiet scroll: this site only works because people actually care about what’s going on in the village.

We’ve had a year of questions, conversations, meetings, delays, updates, non-updates, and the occasional “surely this will be sorted soon?” (narrator voice: it was not). But through it all, one thing keeps shining through – people genuinely care about Kempsey and want it to be the best version of itself.

And when the noise dies down, it’s worth reminding ourselves why we live here at all.

Early mornings by the Severn.
Frosty fields.
Sunsets that make you stop mid-dog-walk.
A village where people still say hello, still argue passionately, and still turn up when it matters.

This place really is something special – even when patience is tested and calendars are consulted again.

A quick festive note: we’ll be closed on Christmas Day, but we’re back the day after, continuing to publish news, updates, and events for Kempsey as usual.

So as we head into Christmas, thank you for sticking with us, engaging, questioning, and helping keep things open, fair, and local. We’ll keep publishing daily on kempsey.co.uk, we’ll keep asking the awkward questions when needed, and we’ll keep celebrating the good stuff too.

Have a brilliant Christmas, enjoy the downtime (if you get any), don’t eat all the Quality Street in one go, and we’ll see you very soon – refreshed, recharged, and probably still waiting for something to be finished.

Merry Christmas, Kempsey 🎄
