The PTFA at Kempsey Primary School has confirmed a change of leadership following its Annual General Meeting this week, with a new team of trustees voted in to lead the association.
The newly appointed Co-Chairs, Co-Treasurers and Secretary, along with the wider committee, will now take responsibility for supporting the school through fundraising and community events. Further details about the new team will be shared with parents and the wider community shortly.
The outgoing trustees have wished the new committee every success, noting that the PTFA continues to go from strength to strength and remains an important part of school life in Kempsey.
Reflecting on their time in post, the former trustees thanked the local community for its ongoing support. With the help of volunteers, parents and supporters, the PTFA raised an impressive £71,500 for Kempsey Primary School, funding a range of projects and activities that have benefited pupils across the school.
They also paid tribute to everyone who has contributed – from those volunteering their time behind the scenes, to families attending events, donating prizes, buying tickets and helping spread the word.
Although stepping down from their trustee roles, the outgoing team said they would continue to support the PTFA and follow its work with pride.
They added:
“It has been a privilege to serve the Kempsey school community, and we look forward to seeing the PTFA continue to thrive for the benefit of the children.”
