A New Chapter for the site, Locally Owned at Last

Since 1999, Kempsey.co.uk has quietly existed online as a digital gateway to our village – but it’s ownership and management have remained a bit of a mystery… until now.

After months of work and determination, I’m proud to announce that, as of the 8th May 2025, I’ve officially acquired Kempsey.co.uk. For the first time, the site is now owned and operated right here in the village – where it belongs.

It’s a fitting day for such a milestone. On the 80th anniversary of VE Day, a moment of national remembrance and gratitude, and on the same day a new Pope has been elected, we’re embracing both heritage and fresh beginnings – locally and globally.

I’ve lived and worked in Kempsey for the last five years, proudly supporting a wide range of local organisations and initiatives – including Kempsey CIC, the PTFA Friends of Kempsey Primary School, the Kempsey Skatepark project, and the Parish Council. I also provide technical support to St. Mary’s Church for their events.

Beyond the village, I’m equally passionate about supporting charitable causes across the UK, contributing to valuable fundraising efforts that help communities far and wide. Giving back, both locally and nationally, has always been a core part of my work – and something I’ll continue to champion through Kempsey.co.uk.

Taking on Kempsey.co.uk is about more than just running a website – it’s about creating a digital home that reflects the heart of our community. From local news and events to trusted businesses, walking routes, and village history – it’s all here, and it’s all for you – though I have much work ahead of me.

One important note: this site will continue to host historic content and posts. I strongly believe it’s vital we retain this material, as it forms part of the village’s evolving story and digital archive. That history matters.

Looking ahead, I’ve got some exciting ideas in the works. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be reaching out for local writers, photographers, and content creators who want to help build something special. If that sounds like you – let’s chat.

Thanks for all your support so far. Here’s to the future of Kempsey.co.uk — local, independent, and here to stay.

Best,
Marc Charnock
