This dramatic picture shows the heavily damaged car just past the Talbot Pub in Kempsey on the A38.

Emergency services are on-scene, with an eyewitness saying people were being treated in an ambulance.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

An eyewitness saw the car go onto the pavement before hitting the wall and flipping over.

Another eyewitness was Harrison Spears, who was in the area at the time of the crash and saw what happened.

He said: “I was just up from it and saw him go up onto the side of the path and go up onto the wall before flipping over.

“I was just up by the pub so saw what happened.

“People came over straight away and got him out, there were no other cars involved, just him.”

The wall in question belongs to Martin Endicott, said: “I didn’t see it happen, by the time I got there the car had hit the wall and flipped over.

“There was one person still in there, but four people managed to get him out.”

The wall was damaged in the crash and will now need rebuilding, with Mr Endicott saying the car had since been removed from the scene with traffic beginning to move again just after 6.45pm.
