Here we go again, folks.
If you’ve strolled down Pixham Ferry Lane or ventured near Old Road South recently, you’ve probably noticed what can only be described as a council-crafted mess. The sort of thing that makes you wonder if someone got their civil engineering diploma off the back of a cereal box.
They’ve been “working” in the area – although what exactly they’ve achieved is anyone’s guess. Let’s take a little tour, shall we?
Hedgerow? Ripped out. Nature’s privacy fence gone with no ceremony and not a whisper of reinstatement.
Safety barriers? Not a chance. There are more hazard signs at a toddler’s birthday party.
The mound? Covered with grass seed, as if chucking a bit of greenery on it makes it all better. But underneath? A massive ditch – perfectly placed for someone to tumble into when they’re not looking. Bravo, really.
It’s like the council’s latest strategy is “out of sight, out of responsibility.” Grass seed does not fix structural hazards. And no, we don’t fancy testing our ankle strength every time we go for a walk.
Seriously – who signed this off? Was it take-your-kid-to-work day?
We expect better. The community deserves safe, tidy, and professionally managed works – not a half-baked job with the finesse of a drunk badger on a digger.
Sort it out.
