Officers responded to reports this morning of two individuals wearing balaclavas who were disturbed while attempting to break into a vehicle in the Kempsey area. There was also a separate report of an attempted bicycle theft linked to the same suspects.
One of the offenders was quickly located nearby and arrested. The second offender was tracked with the assistance of West Mercia Police dog handlers, with additional support from British Transport Police. A drone was deployed during the search, helping officers identify the suspect as he attempted to flee, ultimately locating him using thermal imaging.
Both individuals have now been arrested and remain in police custody.
