Severn Way & Napleton

A varied circular walk from the heart of Kempsey towards the River Severn, following riverside and field paths before returning through Napleton and the village.

Follow the walk

  1. Start by St Mary’s Church on Church Street and follow the public footpath towards the River Severn.
  2. Join the riverside path and follow the Severn through the Hams, keeping to signed public rights of way.
  3. Continue south before turning inland across field paths towards Napleton.
  4. Follow the signed paths and quieter lanes through the Napleton side of the parish.
  5. Return towards Kempsey village, taking care at road crossings and following public footpath signs back towards Church Street.
