Kempsey Parish Council FINALLY Reads Kempsey.co.uk (…and adopts a summary)

Well, well, well — stop the clocks and cue the village choir, because something extraordinary has happened. After years of quietly reporting on parish matters, minutes, meetings, and mild mayhem (we all remember that February 2025 meeting, right? 😉) Kempsey Parish Council has done something truly remarkable.

They’ve not only read Kempsey.co.uk – they’ve adopted a summary of it!

Yes, you read that right.

A SUMMARY.
That’s like someone finally reading the village minutes and saying, “You know what? This is absolutely worth codifying and adopting.”

Look, we don’t yet know if they skimmed it over tea while pretending it was the Daily Telegraph or if they genuinely noticed the clever bits, but either way — we are flattered.

Trendsetters in Transparency

We always knew our blog was a little bit special. Who else would cover parish meetings with the same emotional range as a Jane Austen novel and the analytical precision of a cat batting a laser pointer? But to have the Parish Council officially adopt a version of our summary… well, that’s next-level.

(We’re assuming the actual PDF summary – like this recent February 2026 Summary – is now being used as a reference in council circles. If not, they could at least frame it. Preferably in gold.)

Whether it’s the pump track updates, café refurbishments, budget line-by-line breakdowns, or the brave decision not to award councillor allowances, we like to think our tone helped shape township governance – or at least made it more fun to read than your average minutes.

A Flattering First?

Let’s be honest – it’s like discovering the Head Chef is using your Instagram food review as a secret recipe. We’re flattered. Deeply. Humbly. And with just a smidge of cheeky pride.

Could this be a watershed moment where council communications go from “dense clerical prose” to “engaging, lightly seasoned local storytelling”? We live in hope.

So Here’s to Progress

To all councillors, clerks, and community members embracing a good summary:
Well done. Truly. 👏

If you ever want the full hyper-detailed, meticulously annotated, occasionally snarky breakdown of the next meeting – you know where we are.

Drop us a line – we’ll keep reading, summarising, and having a laugh. After all, it’s your community, your stories, and yes – even your parish council minutes.
