Looks like the local speed van has gone into full camouflage mode today… parked up on the grass verge and hiding behind the trees and bushes!
If you’re out and about, keep your eyes peeled and, more importantly, keep an eye on your speed. It’s easy to get caught when they’re playing hide and seek!
Drive safe, stick to the limits, and don’t let the sneaky beeky brigade ruin your day.
Well… it seems our little “Sneaky Beeky” post has hit a nerve!
Our inbox has been flooded with messages – some supportive, some less so. Just to clarify for those who may have missed it: the post never stated where the van was, nor was it intended to undermine road safety.
In fact, we fully support speed enforcement in the village. The limit is 30mph for a reason, and we’d happily go a step further and support a 20mph limit throughout the village if it improved safety for residents, children and pedestrians.
The only observation made was that the van was parked on the grass verge, which now appears to have been damaged.
We’re all for free speech and healthy debate – that’s what community pages are for. But if you’re sending messages filled with F’s and C’s, perhaps keep those to yourselves. We’d hate for your children to pick up such colourful language from grown adults.
Anyway, enough of that…
