An 88-year-old Kempsey resident has become involved in a long-running neighbour dispute over overgrown weeds with Kempsey Parish Council chairman Cllr Chris Waller.
The unusual village dispute has been highlighted by the Worcester News, which described the elderly resident as an 88-year-old doll maker and the disagreement as a row over overgrown weeds.
Cllr Chris Waller is the current chairman of Kempsey Parish Council and also chairs the council’s Infrastructure and Finance & General Purposes committees.
The dispute is understood to concern the two parties as neighbours rather than being a dispute with Kempsey Parish Council itself.
What began as an issue involving vegetation between neighbouring properties has reportedly developed into a prolonged disagreement.
The story has now attracted wider attention after being reported by the Worcester News, which described the situation as a “thorny issue” for the 88-year-old resident.
As with many neighbour disputes, there are two sides to the disagreement. Kempsey.co.uk has not independently established responsibility for the issues between the properties and does not suggest that either party is at fault.
Cllr Waller’s position with Kempsey Parish Council does, however, mean the dispute is likely to attract additional interest locally.
Kempsey Parish Council currently lists Cllr Chris Waller as its chairman, alongside his roles as chairman of the Infrastructure Committee and Finance & General Purposes Committee.
The disagreement remains a private neighbour dispute and there is no suggestion from the information currently available that Kempsey Parish Council itself is a party to it.
