Kempsey Roadworks Season Returns… Because Apparently We Were Having Too Much Fun!

Just when you thought it was safe to leave the house without checking road closure maps, here comes the latest instalment of “Roadworks: Kempsey Edition.” 😅

Here’s what’s heading our way:

🚧 Kerswell Green 📅 From 29th June 2026💩 Sewer works by CPC Civils⏳ Expected duration: 229 days

Yes, that’s not a typo. By the time this finishes, we’ll probably be discussing Christmas lights, Easter eggs and next year’s roadworks.

🚧 A38 Main Road 📅 Between 13th–24th July 2026🛣️ Carriageway resurfacing and civil works🌙 3 nights only (8pm – 6am)

The good news? Fresh tarmac. The bad news? Diversions and the inevitable “I only popped out for milk” turning into a village tour.

🚧 Church Street & Chapel Road 📅 From 16th July 2026💧 Severn Trent water works⏳ Expected duration: 2 days

A relatively short one by modern roadworks standards. Blink and you might miss it… assuming you can get through.

So, if your sat-nav starts suggesting routes through three counties and a farmer’s field, now you know why.

As always, allow extra time for journeys, keep an eye on diversion signs, and remember: somewhere, someone is currently putting up a traffic light just because they can. 😂
