After many years serving the village, Kempsey’s Lengthsman Simon Bott is stepping down.
Most residents probably don’t know what a Lengthsman does until the grass isn’t cut, the drains aren’t cleared or the village starts looking untidy.
It’s one of those jobs you only notice when it’s not being done.
The Parish Council has thanked Simon for his years of service.
